The King of the Blues Shouters, Omaha-born Wynonie "Mr Blues" Harris, made his recording debut on Decca with Lucky Millinder's Orchestra before hitting big on King with "Good Rockin' Tonight" - recently revived by the Presley boy!
Reputedly a big influence on Elvis, Wynonie's mastery of the rock 'n' roll genre is evident on these latest sides for Atco, King and Roulette - and shows that he is open to inspiration, too!
