Style: Rockin' Blues

Texan Sam Hopkins began performing with the legendary Blind Lemon Jefferson in the late 1920s, but had to wait for two decades before the Aladdin record business knocked at his door to record the duo of Thunder & Lightnin'. A supremely rhythmic guitar player with a whiskey-soaked voice, Lightnin's recent waxings for New York's Herald label have been well received by the rock 'n' roll crowd.
Side 1
1 Had a Gal Called Sal
2 Hopkins' Sky Hop
Side 2
1 My Little Kewpie Doll
2 They Wonder Who I Am

Im the middle of the 80īs R.Braband (Rhythm Bomp founder) an I looking for that
really cool HERALD stuff, but only one LP has it. His uptempo stuff was really hard to find to find.
" Bad Boogie" , ..... you find it on a early ACE Sampler in the 80s. Real song name " My Little Kepwie Doll".
Here are all his best uptempo bluesrockers with an outstanding obscure guitar work and
the whiskey-warm voice from Mr. Hopkins. Play well with 45 r.p.m for your old AMI, RockOla or other Jukebox.
